UConn Freshman Vance Jackson Announces Transfer

The freshman forward is transferring from the Huskies.

Connecticut freshman forward Vance Jackson announced his plans to transfer from the University. Jackson thanked the coaching staff and his teammates for his time with the Huskies in a post on Twitter.

Coming out of high school, 247Sports rated Jackson as the No. 11 small forward in the 2016 recruiting class and the No. 78 overall recruit in the country. The 4-star recruit from Pasadena, California, had offers from Arizona, Oregon, and UCLA, but eventually chose the Huskies.

Jackson averaged 8.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game while averaging 24.7 minutes played in those games.
