It only took one game for North Carolina star freshman Cole Anthony to earn some major respect from his head coach, Roy Williams.
Anthony, a five-star freshman guard and the son of the former NBA player, poured in 34 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out five assists in UNC’s season-opening win against Notre Dame.
North Carolina fans are loving what Williams said about Anthony following the win.
“That is one tough little nut,” Williams said.

As North Carolina fans know, that’s not a phrase Williams uses lightly. It appears Coach Roy – and the rest of the Tar Heels fan base – understands he’s got a special one in Anthony.
