The afternoon session of Day 2 of the NCAA Tournament's first round is ending with a surprising blowout.

Wisconsin, the No. 5 seed in the South Region, has gotten crushed by No. 12 seed Oregon in the first round today.

The Badgers and the Ducks were close at halftime, but Oregon emerged early in the second half and ended up blowing out the Big Ten program.

Oregon ended up topping Wisconsin, 72-51.

The Ducks have been on a surge lately.

Wisconsin becomes the first Big Ten team to a lose a game in the NCAA Tournament this year.

Oregon, meanwhile, advances to the second round, where it'll face UC-Irvine.

A gametime and TV channel for Oregon-UC Irvine will be out later tonight.
