Few teams in college basketball have looked better over the last month-plus than No. 6 Michigan State.

The Spartans, who have emerged as a legitimate national title threat, have won 13 games in a row and are surging to the top of the polls.

Michigan State is in some serious trouble today, though.

Tom Izzo's team is playing at Purdue and the Boilermakers had their way with the Spartans in the first half.

After 20 minutes of play, it's Purdue 37, No. 6 Michigan State 19.

Purdue is excited.

Purdue has had some major success against Michigan State at home in previous years. The Boilermakers were bragging about it before the game, too. "Pregame video on the Mackey Arena scoreboard trumpeting Purdue's success against MSU when the Spartans are ranked in the top 10," Chris Solari tweeted.

Michigan State is going to need a furious rally in the second half to get back into this one. The Spartans' first-half output was its lowest in several years.
