On Friday night, the Big East Tournament was in full swing with four teams in action. Villanova took down Xavier in overtime to secure its place in the Big East Championship Game.
While the Wildcats and Musketeers delivered a thrilling finish, all eyes were on the other game in the conference tournament. Seton Hall and Marquette literally came to blows as they fought their way to the title game.
Midway through the second half, Seton Hall star Myles Powell drove to the basket and thought he drew a hard foul. After not earning the call, Powell got up and confronted a Marquette player.
The ensuing scuffle led to three players being ejected from the contest.

The players were ejected after the play. One for the Pirates, forward Sandro Mamukelashvili, and two for the Golden Eagles, Sacar Anim and Theo John.
The officiating was heavily criticized during and after the game by players, coaches and fans alike. In total, 49 total fouls were called, including nine technical fouls, leading to 85 free throws, three ejections and four foul-outs.
While the officiating may have given the game a black eye, it set up a stellar championship game.
Villanova and Seton Hall face off for the Big East title tonight.
