Rivalry games are everything.
Here's a story you don't hear everyday. We're used to seeing players, coaches, and perhaps even fans get ejected from intense rivalry games when the juices get flowing.
However, this is a new one for us. On Thursday night in a tight rivalry contest between Arizona and Arizona State, a cheerleader was ejected from the game in the middle of the second half.
At first glance we can't see what the cheerleader did wrong, but ESPN's broadcast team made it clear that the cheerleader was heckling a player. Now, that's not the first time a cheerleader has had words for a player, nor will it be the last.
But it is the first time we've seen a cheerleader get ejected from a game in a while. Check out video of the ejection below.
No. 25 Arizona State held a 50-47 lead over No. 17 Arizona near the midway point of the second half. The Wildcats used a 9-2 run to take a 56-52 lead with just under nine minutes remaining in the game.
