Nevada just took down Texas in the most-exciting game of the tournament so far (sorry Loyola-Chicago and Miami). The Longhorns led by 14 at one point, but did everything possible to throw away the game with time running out.
With the game tied at 68 and 3.8 seconds left on the clock, an inbounds pass from Texas went awry, giving the ball back to Nevada with 1.6 seconds left to win it.
Lucky for the Longhorns, a shot from the Wolf Pack was just short, forcing overtime. Unfortunately for the Longhorns Nevada dominated the overtime period, going 6-for-6 in the extra five minutes, including 3-for-3 on three-pointers.
Nevada head coach Eric Musselman was ecstatic with the win, and couldn't hold back from some unsavory language. Oops!
It's the second consecutive NCAA Tournament experience for the Wolf Pack, but the team's first win since 2007. No. 7 Nevada defeated No. 10 Texas by a final score of 87-83. The Wolf Pack will now face off against No. 2 Cincinnati on Sunday.
