Playing for Murray State, star guard Ja Morant may not get the same level of media attention that Duke megastar Zion Williamson does. However, on the same night that Williamson stunned the world with his insane block, Morant made one that some are now arguing could give Williamson a run for his money.
Playing against SIU Edwardsville last night, Morant blocked a shot by making consecutive hits on the ball with each hand.
The long-armed Morant somehow halted the shot in mid-air with one hand and swatted it away with the other.
Don’t believe it? See for yourself:
That Zion block was ridiculous. But this Ja Morant block almost doesn’t make sense. pic.twitter.com/0rtU0hbDul

Murray State went on to win the game, 86-55, tying them for first place in the Ohio Valley Conference with the Belmont Bruins.
Morant’s big block is certainly worthy of being in the conversation with Williamson’s, if not from a sheer athletic standpoint then from its own wow-factor.
He has flown under the radar a bit, but Morant is quickly turning into one of the top NBA prospects around.
Morant is averaging over 20 points and 10 assists per game, making him the first player in decades to do so.
