Although Texas Tech enters halftime with the lead against Northern Kentucky, the first half featured a frightening moment for the team's best player. Jarrett Culver will be ready for the second half of action, but his status was almost put in question due to a nasty bump out of bounds.
Culver is the heart and soul of the Red Raiders, averaging 18.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per contest. His versatility is the main reason for him winning the Big-12 Player of the Year.
The sophomore sensation is the leading scorer for Texas Tech in the first half with 12 points. While his production on the hardwood is impressive in itself, the fact that he didn't sustain a major injury is even more stunning.
During the first half of this matchup, Culver went for a loose ball but found himself on the wrong side of a collision. Despite leaping over the photographer on the sidelines, the superstar guard still fell pretty hard.

Fortunately for the Red Raiders, Culver got back on his feet in a matter of seconds.
With Northern Kentucky giving Texas Tech a run for its money in the opening half, it'll be interesting to see if the Norse can pull off the upset.
