The top graduate transfer in college basketball is still on the market with the season a few months away.

Kerry Blackshear Jr. announced his plans to transfer away from the Virginia Tech basketball program after former head coach Buzz Williams left to take over the Texas A&M Aggies.

Blackshear is coming off of yet another strong season for the Hokies and has already met with several programs.

The top graduate transfer already visited Florida and Arkansas and plans to visit Tennessee, Kentucky and possibly Texas A&M where he could play for his former coach.

However, there's another major program in the mix as well.

According to Kevin McPherson, Blackshear is now considering Memphis.

Since taking over the Memphis program, former NBA star Penny Hardaway has turned the Tigers into a recruiting monster. The Tigers currently own the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation after landing two five-star recruits including the No. 1 player in the country: James Wiseman.

If Hardaway can land the talented Blackshear, Memphis will have a veteran voice to lead the young stars coming into the program.

Several major programs are on the hunt for Blackshear, so it will be interesting to see what he decides to do.

Stay tuned.
