Watch: Frank Martin Broke Down During His Post-Game Press Conference

frank Martin becomes emotional in postgame press conference.

South Carolina head coach Frank Martin is a man who wears his heart on his sleeve.

So naturally, you expected Martin to be emotional following his team's hard-fought 77-73 loss to Gonzaga in the Final Four tonight.

First, Martin gave a heartfelt post-game interview to CBS sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson.

Then, Martin got choked up in his post-game press conference when he discussed his team's season. He visibly shed some tears and had to wipe them away.

Despite the tough finish, Martin and his players should do nothing but hold their heads up high after the run they had. South Carolina knocked off three higher seeds en route to the program's first Final Four, and battled back from a 14-point second half deficit to put Gonzaga on the ropes tonight.

The Gamecocks lose star Sindarius Thornwell as well as key contributors Justin McKie and Duane Notice, but Martin welcomes back five of the team's top eight players, led by guard P.J. Dozier and forward Chris Silva. He also signed four players, including four-star combo guard David Beatty.

Gonzaga’s Road To The National Title Game Is Irrelevant

Expect South Carolina to be a factor again in the SEC in 2017-18, and to compete for another NCAA Tournament berth.
