Louisville's 2013 men's basketball national title has been vacated. What does this mean for Rick Pitino's back?

The ousted Cardinals' head coach has that 2013 national championship remembered in ink on the back of his left shoulder. He got it after making a promise to his players that season.

Pitino told his 2012-13 Louisville team that he would get a national title tattoo if his team won it all following a loss to Notre Dame in February. The Cardinals didn't lose a game the rest of the season. Pitino got the tattoo.

It's a kind of awkward tattoo now. Check it out:

What is Pitino going to do with it? Keep it? Cover it up?

He'll probably just keep it. Louisville's program still believes it's the true 2013 national champion, after all.

If he wants to cover it up, though, a tattoo artist has an idea. SB Nation spoke to the guy who tatted up Pitino in the first place .

"Something that’s still Louisville related would be cool, maybe just the city as a whole. Thinking he might not be too into the university right now. A lot of times animals are a good go to. I’d imagine a cardinal is probably out of the question for him at this point. Maybe a nice thoroughbred racing horse," the tattoo artist said.

If you were Pitino, what would you do? Keep it? Cover it up?
