We have some playful back-and-forth leading up to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. With Zion Williamson and Duke preparing to face UCF, the freshman phenom is once again making headlines.
Williamson had 25 points in his March Madness debut, which honestly shouldn't surprise anyone that watches him on a consistent basis. The versatile forward in the country continues to solidify his status as a once-in-a-generation prospect.
There is little doubt that Duke will be the favorites heading into tomorrow's matchup, but clearly UCF isn't afraid of the challenge. Tacko Fall of the Knights spoke to college basketball reporter Andy Katz about facing Williamson.
It'll be a tough task for the senior sensation, but he'll try his best to avoid giving up a jaw-dropping dunk to the Blue Devils' superstar. "I won't allow it. I won't allow him to put me on one of his highlight tapes. It's probably not going to happen," Fall said.
After hearing about Fall's comment, Williamson responded as best as he could saying, "He said the right thing."
Even though most fans in college hoops can't stand Duke because of its constant success, it's hard to ignore the greatness of Williamson. The South Carolina native is a rare talent that is as humble as he is talented.
We'll see if Williamson can lead his Blue Devils to the Sweet 16 with a victory over the Knights tomorrow.
Tipoff is set for 5:15 p.m. ET and the game will be broadcast on CBS on Sunday.
