The No. 5 seed Clemson Tigers will take on the No. 12 seed New Mexico State Aggies in a first-round matchup in the Midwest Region on Friday. The game will be played at Viejas Arena in San Diego, Calif. Tip time is set for approximately 9:57 p.m. ET.
Preview: Clemson was a surprise in the ACC this year. The Tigers earned the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament and made it all the way to the semifinals in the conference tournament. As guards Marcquise Reed, Gabe DeVoe and Sheldon Mitchell go, so go the Tigers.
The Aggies won the WAC, going 28-5 on the season. Zach Lofton (19.7) is the man to watch for NMSU.
