Carson Beck's Girlfriend Furious With Trolls After Georgia's Loss vs. Alabama

Hanna Cavinder and her twin sister Haley have benefitted tremendously from social media, but that doesn't mean they don't see the uglier side of it as well.

In a fiery TikTok rant Monday, Hanna took aim at trolls who go out of their way to post negative comments about people's weight or physical appearance. The University of Miami basketball standout said the practice "just doesn’t sit right with me" and "makes me sick to my stomach."

“OK, I’m just gonna get this off my chest because this s--t just literally fires me up and annoys me so much about social media and society nowadays," Cavinder says in the clip.

“I don’t understand why viewers or fans or whatever it is get satisfaction of commenting on a person or athletes’ looks on social media — or roasting them and thinking it’s just OK to comment about what they look like, come at them, tear them down like these people aren’t human beings. It's actually sickening nowadays how society, we just turn a blind eye to someone commenting at what a person looks like online.

“It’s actually sickening nowadays how society can just, you know, we turn a blind eye to someone’s comments about what a person looks like online. And it’s just sickening that people all get satisfaction of humiliating someone about their looks."

Cavinder's rant came two days after her boyfriend, Georgia quarterback Carson Beck, lost 41-34 on the road at No. 4 Alabama, the Bulldogs' sixth loss to the Crimson Tide in seven tries under Kirby Smart.

Cavinder did not give any indication what sparked her heated comments, though they didn't appear to have anything to do with her boyfriend's disappointing loss.

“And who raised these people is my question," Cavinder continued. "I would never have the nerve to go comment on what a female looks like, what a male looks like on social media and be OK with myself… I don’t understand how you were raised to do that and feel OK to do that as a human being to a human being.

“I think it is sick and I’m going to choose to rant about it today. But anyways, have a good Monday… because if people are commenting about you and your looks, how would you feel about it every single day.”

Some commenters took the 23-year-old's side, while others of course trolled her about her own looks or had negative comments about Beck.
