Another Power Conference Head Coach Will Be Fired

After Georgia fell to Kentucky in the SEC Tournament on Friday, Georgia athletic director Greg McGarity has reportedly made a decision on head coach Mark Fox. He is expected to be out.
The Bulldogs sit at 18-15 after the most recent loss, with a 7-11 mark in the SEC. UGA was the 12-seed in the SEC Tournament.
Georgia beat Vanderbilt on Wednesday, and upset Missouri on Thursday to reach the SEC quarterfinals. There, they met John Calipari's Wildcats.
On Friday, the team was stifled by Kentucky's defense, losing 62-49. Yante Maten, the AP SEC Player of the Year, was held to just nine points on 2-of-10 from the field.
According to ESPN's Jeff Goodman, Fox is expected to be let go. No official announcement has been made yet.
Mark Fox took over Georgia basketball in 2009.
He is currently in his ninth year with the Bulldogs. Only two of those seasons resulted in NCAA Tournament bids.
In 2010-11, his second year in Athens, the team finished 21-12. Those Bulldogs earned a 10-seed, but fell to Washington in the first round.
In 2014-15, the team finished with that same record. Once again Georgia was a 10-seed, and once again, it lost in the first round, this time to Michigan State.
Fox had previously served as head coach of Nevada, where he reached the tournament in three straight years from 2005-2007. He also served as an assistant at Nevada, Kansas State, and Washington.
He finishes with a 163-133 record at Georgia, with a 77-79 mark in conference. Overall, he is 286-176.
