Joe Burrow Made A Prediction For Myles Brennan's First Start
No one made more big plays in college football last year than Joe Burrow.
The former LSU Tigers quarterback threw for 60 touchdowns on way to a Heisman Trophy and a College Football Playoff national title win.
Today, the Myles Brennan era is set to get underway. The former four-star recruit will make his first start at quarterback for the LSU Tigers.
Burrow has made a prediction for Brennan's first start.
“He’s not afraid to rip it,” Burrow told ESPN’s Gene Wojciechowski. “He’s going to make a lot of big plays.”
Brennan has been waiting for this day for a long time. ESPN analyst Tim Tebow is excited to watch him play.
"(Myles) was actually Mr. Football in Mississippi in 2015 and is someone extremely athletic," Tebow said. "But I've gotta tell you — he's got some huge shoes to fill, following Joe Burrow and arguably the best season in college football history. He has to be the best Myles Brennan he can be. He has to focus on the first drive. Focus on his game plan. He doesn't have to match Burrow touchdown for touchdown, yard for yard.
"What he needs to do is follow his game plan and that'll be enough."
LSU and Mississippi State are set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. E.T. The game will be on CBS.
