Video Of Leonard Fournette, Teammate Fighting Appears To Just Be “Slap Boxing"
Leonard Fournette is one of college football's biggest stars, so LSU can't like that a video of him apparently fighting a teammate surfaced today, via TMZ.
The gossip site posted a clip showing Fournette and teammate Garrett Brumfield, a redshirt sophomore guard, going at it outside of Tiger Stadium.
Things may not be entirely what they seem, however. TMZ reached out to LSU football for comment, and Michael Bonnette, the school's associate athletic director of communications, says the two players were merely "slap boxing."
But LSU Associate Athletic Director of Communications Michael Bonnette tells TMZ Sports the team has spoken to both players and have determined it was all an intense game of slap boxing.
"A game where they basically have to touch the other person twice."

But Bonnette insists there is no real animosity between the two players.
"What you don't see is when the video cuts off, they hug it out. They're not mad at each other. No one was injured."
Those who've spent any time around a football team know that slap boxing is pretty common, usually harmless horseplay. Based on what we know about Fournette, it would be very surprising if this was anything more than that. The Heisman contender is pretty universally adored, and is, by all accounts, a good guy.
It definitely does look more aggressive than your average locker room horseplay though, and both players let loose some big haymakers which, luckily, didn't appear to land.
Leonard Fournette is entering his junior, and likely final, season at LSU after a monster sophomore campaign. Last season, he rushed for 1,953 yards and 22 touchdowns, averaging 6.5 yards per carry despite the Tigers' lack of a consistent passing attack.
Brumfield played in 11 games for the Tigers as a redshirt freshman last season, and could be in line to start this fall.
