Even when Tate Martell isn't on the field, the polarizing quarterback remains a constant talking point in college football.

Martell had fans buzzing last weekend when he suited up as a wide receiver for the Miami Hurricanes. At this point, it wouldn't be shocking if he transitioned over to that position.

The Hurricanes seem pretty confident in Jarren Williams as their starting quarterback, which means Martell likely won't see much time under center. Yet, the former four-star recruit could decide to transfer in the future.

In the event that Martell does enter the NCAA transfer portal, there appears to be one fan base in particular that wants him.

During ESPN's College GameDay, a fan was holding a sign that said "Tate Martell, UNLV will still take you."

Check it out:

Perhaps, the fan that made this sign just wanted to troll Martell. On the other hand, it's not a bad suggestion if he the dual-threat quarterback wants to look at other options. Martell played his high school ball in Las Vegas.

Martell and the Hurricanes will be on the road next week as they try to get their first win of the season. His role on offense could be different as he gets more acclimated to the scheme.

It'll be an ACC showdown in Week 2 when Miami faces North Carolina.
