Photo: Miami Commit Trajan Bandy Will Wear Sean Taylor's Famous Visor This Season

Trajan Bandy, a lifelong Miami fan, committed to the 'Canes on Monday, and he plans to follow in the footsteps of UM legend Sean Taylor.

Bandy is friends with the late Taylor's younger brother Jamal Johnson, who has gifted him the famous orange visor that Taylor wore while playing at Miami.

Johnson also gave Bandy one of his brother's game worn jerseys, which the four-star cornerback used in his commitment announcement.

Taylor is one of the most popular players in Miami football history, so this should really endear Bandy to the 'Canes fan base. Trajan Bandy, the No. 29 cornerback in the country and No. 38 recruit in Florida, per 247Sports, was originally an Oklahoma commit, but decommitted from the Sooners back in July. The 'Canes also beat out Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, and USC, as well as over 30 other schools for his services. Bandy is the third cornerback to join Miami's 2017 class, which ranks No. 1 in the ACC. Taylor played three seasons at Miami, winning the national championship as a freshman in 2001. He was named Big East defensive player of the year and a unanimous All-American in 2003. He was selected fifth overall by Washington in the 2004 NFL Draft, and went on to be a First Team All-Pro in 2007, and a two-time Pro Bowler. Taylor was tragically shot and killed in November 2007 by home intruders.
