On paper, Nebraska's road schedule isn't too daunting, and doesn't have too many compelling matchups. But there is one road game that has been garnering the most attention from fans and the highest ticket prices.

According to Kelsey Stewart of the Omaha World-Herald(full article appears behind a paywall), Nebraska fans have quickly blown through the 3,000 tickets allotted to them against Colorado. Per the report, fan interest has driven ticket prices to all-time highs for the Buffaloes program.

The intense interest in the Colorado-Nebraska game should come as little surprise though. Last year saw the brief renewal of one of the longest-running rivalries in college football.

Colorado and Nebraska first met in 1898, with the Huskers winning 23-10, and spent significant time as conference foes in the Big 12.

Prices on the secondary market for the game in Boulder are very high. The "get-in" price at StubHub is $244 per ticket, as of this writing. The second-most expensive Colorado home game at the moment is Air Force, which fans can get in for just $25.

From 1948 to 2010, the two teams played each other 63 years in a row. The series was interrupted after conference realignment.

But within a few years of Colorado going to the Pac-12 and Nebraska going to the Big Ten, they renewed the series. Last year Nebraska hosted the first leg of a home-and-home series against, but lost 33-28.

Nebraska has historically dominated the series though, and boasts a 49-19-2 record all-time against Colorado.

Neither team is as dominant as it once was, but it's nice to see the interest in the rivalry hasn't faded. New Buffaloes head coach Mel Tucker helped stoke the flames a bit this offseason as well, which doesn't hurt.

The game will be played on September 7 at Folsom Field in Boulder.
