Nebraska Lands Two Recruits Ahead Of Iowa Game
Nebraska football is gearing up for a massive Big Ten contest against the Iowa Hawkeyes on Friday. The Huskers are in a must win situation if they hope to go bowling. A defeat ends their season.
The team is preparing for the Hawkeyes. But that hasn't stopped the coaching staff from putting in work on the recruiting trail.
Scott Frost and the Huskers added two 2020 JUCO commitments - DE Junior Aho and LB Jamoi Hodge - on Tuesday. Both are expected to be immediate impact players for Nebraska next season.
Aho's a 6-foot-3, 255 pound defensive lineman out of the New Mexico Military Institute. The highly touted prospect is expected to make a transition to linebacker for the Huskers.
Hodge currently plays for Independence C.C. - the same school featured on the popular Netflix show Last Chance U. The linebacker, standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 225 pounds, brings a solid combination of speed, power and athleticism to Lincoln.
The Huskers now have a total of 15 commits in the 2020 class. Nebraska's 2020 class ranks 28th overall and sixth in the Big Ten, according to 247Sports.
Frost is hoping to make a statement against the Hawkeyes on Friday. But a defeat wouldn't just end the Huskers' season, it could also hurt recruiting efforts.
Nebraska-Iowa kicks off this Friday at 2:30 p.m. ET on Big Ten Network.
