Lincoln Riley Appears To Take Jab At Michigan

On Tuesday afternoon, Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley appeared to take a not-so-subtle shot at the Michigan football program.
When asked about former four-star offensive line recruit Erik Swenson, Riley said he's good enough to play for the Sooners, but apparently wasn't good enough for Jim Harbaugh and company up North.
Swenson was committed to play for the Wolverines for three years before the team allegedly pulled his scholarship.
Now he's vying for a starting job on the offensive line at tackle for the Sooners.
"Michigan dropped him and you know I'm glad they did. He wasn't good enough to play in Michigan's offense but I guess he is good enough to play in Oklahoma's, you know? We're glad it worked out the way it did and things happen for a reason and we're certainly thankful we have him now," Riley said via Kegan Reneau of USA Today.
Swenson is a former four-star offensive tackle recruit who initially committed to play for Brady Hoke at Michigan.
After Jim Harbaugh took over Swenson remained committed to the Wolverines. He decommitted from Michigan in January 2016 before committing to Oklahoma 10 days later.
Now he's vying for a starting role on one of the most-potent offenses in the country.
