Former Oklahoma RB Abdul Adams Has Transferred To Syracuse

Former Oklahoma running back Abdul Adams has a new home.
Abdul Adams, who spent the last two seasons with the Oklahoma Sooners, is headed to the ACC.
Adams has transferred to Syracuse, the Orange confirmed today. He is enrolled in classes and will be able to practice with the team in the spring.
Adams must sit out next season, per NCAA rules. He'll have two years of eligibility remaining, beginning in 2019.
A former 4-star recruit, Adams rushed for 825 yards and a touchdown on 112 carries in 19 games as a Sooner. He also grabbed eight passes for 103 yards and a score.
This season, Adams ran for 542 yards, third-best on the OU squad behind Rodney Anderson and Trey Sermon. His top effort came against Baylor, when he scampered for 164 yards on 11 carries, including a 99-yard touchdown.
Adams helped the Sooners win the Big 12 and reach the College Football Playoff at the Rose Bowl, but he did not carry the ball in the semifinal loss to Georgia.
Adams is one of 11 mid-year enrollees for Syracuse.
Syracuse finished the 2017 season with a 4-8 record under second-year head coach Dino Babers. The team's top win was a stunning upset of No. 2 Clemson on October 13.
The Orange will open the 2018 season at Western Michigan on Sept. 1.
