Kevin Sumlin Takes Tour Of Renovating Kyle Field, 'We're Building The Finest Football Facility In America'

Texas A&M's Kyle Field is currently being renovated at the price of $450 million. The improvements to the Aggies' football stadium, which will be finalized by 2015, will include increased capacity (102,512), a massive scoreboard, and brand new seating structures on various sides of the complex.

Tours of Kyle Field will not be available until the renovations are complete. Unless you're Kevin Sumlin (or a Texas A&M recruit), of course.

Sumlin recently took a peek inside Kyle Field. He's impressed.

“To put on a hard hat and walk around a little bit,” Sumlin said of his ability to show recruits the stadium. “For us to do that is amazing. We’re building the finest football facility in America.”

Sumlin is apparently one of the few people who's job description trumps the "no tour" policy.

“Coach Sumlin can bring whoever he wants,” said Phillip Ray, chief business development officer for the A&M System, which oversees the project.

Texas A&M opens its 2014 season at home on Sept. 6 against Lamar. The Aggies start the year on the road against South Carolina.
