Texas A&M has looked very good tonight in College Station against Clemson, and were just a few yards away from a potential game-tying touchdown.

Every year we see a few fumbles through the end zone that turn into touchbacks, and really cost the offensive teams.

That just happened to the Aggies at the worst possible moment.

Quartney Davis, who scored a big touchdown earlier in the game, stretched for a second score, that would've put the score at 28-26, with a chance at a tying two-point conversion.

The ball was punched out, and flew out of bounds. It is pretty hard to see where it crosses, but referees called it a touchback through the end zone, making it Clemson's ball.

Judge for yourself:

After a review, the call stood, and Clemson got the ball deep in Texas A&M territory.

There's still some time left, and Kellen Mond has been awesome in his second game under Jimbo Fisher. The Aggies are about to get the ball back at midfield with just over a minute left.

Still, it is hard to pull big upsets against top two teams with plays like that going against you, especially ones as arbitrary as the end zone touchback rule.
