For fans of some college football programs, it hasn't been that long since the dream of watching your team win a national championship was realized. But for others, it's seemingly been an eternity. Diehard supporters can often recall every little thing about the time frame during which their favorite team won a title - all the way down to which songs were playing on the radio. We decided to put together a list that shows just that - the top song in the country, according to Billboard, when each program once its last title.
The list dates back to 1938, the first year of the AP Poll. It includes teams that either won the Coaches' Poll or the AP Poll. It does not include all claimed national titles by programs - there are far too many publications to make a comprehensive list.
In total, there are only 30 college football programs that have claimed either the AP Poll or the Coaches' Poll since 1938. Enjoy the list:
