Historically a powerhouse when it comes to football, Notre Dame is searching for a quarterback to compliment its otherwise talented team. Any signal-caller at Notre Dame will feel great pressure because of the prestige of the program and the expectation to continue the legacy of winning.
Last season, Tommy Rees stepped into the starting role and led the Irish to a berth in the Champs Sports Bowl. However, Rees was recently arrested on counts of battery, resisting law enforcement, and illegal consumption by a minor, which potentially opens the gates for another quarterback to step in.
Notre Dame is losing Dayne Crist, who has transferred to the Kansas Jayhawks. Andrew Hendrix, Everett Golson and Gunner Kiel are also potential starting quarterbacks for the Fighting Irish.
