The never-ending drama between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Antonio Brown has taken yet another turn. It’s become clear that the superstar wideout is looking for a different franchise to call home this offseason.
Brown was tremendous on the field for the Steelers, finishing the season with 1,297 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns. However, the biggest storyline generated from his campaign was his absence from the final game of the year.
It was reported that a vocal dispute between Brown and Ben Roethlisberger caused friction within the locker room.
Considering that Brown is one of the best players in the NFL, it’s possible that several franchises will bid for his services.
Well, the Steelers might have to hope that teams are willing to offer high draft picks because the All-Pro wide receiver wants out of the Steel City.
According to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, Brown has officially requested a trade from Pittsburgh.
If Brown is shipped during the offseason, the New York Jets and the San Francisco 49ers have been rumored to have interest.
Antonio Brown has not been traded nor has he been released. But Brown wants a trade and he officially has requested that from the Steelers, per source.

As for the Steelers, it would elevate Juju Smith-Schuster into the top role on offense. Although he’s shown superstar potential in his first two seasons, the USC product does benefit from having Brown across from him.
Pittsburgh could opt to mend its relationship with Brown in large part because he is just too talented to move. It’s hard to get rid of an athlete that has made seven trips to the Pro Bowl and already has over 11,000 career receiving yards.
Either way it’s shaping up to be an interesting offseason for the Steelers.
