Cleveland is making another quarterback change.
A week ago, the Browns benched rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer in favor of second-year QB Kevin Hogan.
Following Hogan’s dreadful start on Sunday – he threw 3 interceptions and completed 54 percent of his passes in the blowout loss to Houston – another QB change is coming.
Cleveland.com’s Mark Kay Cabot reports that Hue Jackson will likely go back to Kizer this week, with an announcement coming on Wednesday.
Coach Hue Jackson said he’ll name his starter for Sunday’s game against the Titans by Wednesday, and he sounded again like he’ll go back to Kizer over Kevin Hogan, who threw three first-half interceptions during Sunday’s 33-17 loss to the Texans.
Jackson re-iterated that Kizer is ‘huge part of the future here” and that will be a big part of his thinking process. If the Browns are going to have a young quarterback out there struggling with a sub-par supporting cast, it might as well be their possible quaterback of the future.
If there’s one thing that helps a young quarterback develop, it’s having no consistency at all.
(That was sarcasm.)
