Cleveland has benched its starting quarterback.
DeShone Kizer is a rookie quarterback playing for the Cleveland Browns. You’d think the franchise would be willing to let the young QB play through some serious struggles.
You would be wrong to think that, though.
The Browns benched the former Notre Dame quarterback today.
Cleveland head coach Hue Jackson went to former Stanford QB Kevin Hogan to start the second half against the Jets. Kizer had completed 8 of 17 passes for 87 yards and 1 interception.
New York leads, 3-0.
