The 29-year-old Cushing has missed time for a plethora of injuries in recent seasons. In 2012, he tore his right ACL and missed 11 games. The following year, his season was done after seven contests due to a broken fibula.
Last season, Cushing stayed healthy for all 16 games, recording 110 tackles.
