Over the weekend, the Philadelphia Eagles received bad injury news when it was announced running back Jay Ajayi suffered a torn ACL. The injury bug hasn’t been kind to the Eagles this season, as Ajayi, Corey Clement and Darren Sproles have all been sideline with injury at some point.
With the rash of injuries to the running back position, Philadelphia reportedly reached out to the Buffalo Bills in search of veteran running back LeSean McCoy. Yesterday, a new report said the Eagles were considering reacquiring McCoy.
McCoy is still the Eagles’ all-time leading rusher. Buffalo is in the midst of a rebuild, and any added draft picks would certainly help that process.
During his afternoon press conference, McCoy addressed the trade rumors. “I don’t pay attention to all the talk about a trade. I’m focused on my teammates in Buffalo and the Houston Texans,” he said.
