Buccaneers vs. Saints preview:
The Bucs find themselves fighting to stay alive in the playoff race, with a chance to win the NFC South if they get some help. They’re a game behind the Falcons, and essentially the next two match-ups are must-wins for this surging team. Their chances took a significant hit last week with a loss to the Cowboys, but they can rebound against a Saints team that the they beat just two weeks ago.
The Saints are not mathematically out of the playoff race, but realistically, yeah, they are. All they can hope to do now is play spoiler for the Bucs. The defense is awful, but it played well against the Bucs two weeks ago, only allowing 16 points. Last week they allowed 41 to the Cardinals. Which team will show up on Saturday?
Buccaneers vs. Saints prediction:
I like the Saints in this one. In the Superdome, Drew Brees and this Saints offense is as explosive as it gets in the NFL. I think it remains close the entire game, but a crucial turnover by James Winston in the fourth quarter gives Brees the opportunity to ice the game with a touchdown to Brandin Cooks.
