The Philadelphia Eagles’ title defense ended in New Orleans today. The Saints rallied from a 14-point deficit after one quarter to win 20-14.
Philly still had a chance to win it late, but Nick Foles’ short pass to Alshon Jeffery went through the veteran wide receiver’s hands and into the arms of Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore.
For a player who made some ridiculous catches in last year’s Super Bowl run and at the end of this year, this was a cruel finish for Jeffery.

After the play was over, the FOX cameras found a shocked Jeffery on the Philadelphia sideline.

Jeffery is going to be thinking about that one all offseason.
With the loss, it becomes a lock that a new champion will be crowned this season. The top two seeds in each conference advanced to the championship games.
The Saints will host the Los Angeles Rams next week, while the Kansas City Chiefs will welcome the New England Patriots to Arrowhead.
