The 2018 NFL season came to a close on Sunday night with a dominant performance from the New England Patriots in their 13-3 Super Bowl victory over the Los Angeles Rams.
With the 2018 season in the rear-view, ESPN gave its predictions for the upcoming season.
Included in the predictions is where Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles will play. According to ESPN NFL analyst Dan Graziano, Foles will be wearing a Jacksonville Jaguars uniform come the 2019 season.
Here’s what Graziano had to say about the prediction:
I also believe they’re wary of him ending up in the NFC East with Washington or the Giants, and directing him to a faraway AFC destination like Jacksonville will be more appealing to Howie Roseman & Co. Jacksonville’s hiring of former Eagles QBs coach John DeFilippo as offensive coordinator could make the Jags appealing to Foles as well.
Graziano is hardly the first NFL analyst to suggest the Jaguars will be the landing spot for Foles. After former Eagles quarterbacks coach John DeFillippo was hired as the team’s offensive coordinator Jacksonville became the odds-on favorite to acquire Foles.
The Eagles reportedly picked up Foles’ player option on Tuesday. He’s reportedly likely to buy his way out of the deal and will be franchise tagged by the team before they work on a trade.
