The Philadelphia Eagles’ season may have ended last week, but fan concern for injured quarterback Carson Wentz still lingers. Fortunately for the Eagles, they got an injury update that should set their minds at ease.
According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Wentz is expected to recover from his injuries in time for the start of offseason activities in April.
Wentz suffered a back injury in December that caused him to miss the remainder of the season.
Nick Foles filled in for Foles in the interim, similarly to how he had at the tail end of the Eagles’ 2017 Super Bowl run. This time, however, Foles was unable to bring the Eagles to the promised land, losing to the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Divisional Round.

Injuries have hampered Wentz for the past two seasons.
He was forced to miss the first two games of the 2018 season as part of his recovery from a torn ACL he had suffered at the end of 2017.
Despite missing five games in 2018, Wentz still recorded career highs in passing accuracy (69.6%), yards per game (279.5), and yards per attempt (7.7).
Combined with the three games he was forced to miss in 2017, Wentz has missed eight games in the past two seasons.
