The New England Patriots won the AFC Championship Game in stunning fashion on Sunday night, emerging with a 37-31 overtime victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on the road. After the game, according to ESPN’s Jeff Darlington, Tom Brady sought out opposing quarterback Patrick Mahomes to congratulate him on the season. One team’s fan base isn’t buying Brady’s “good guy” act, though.
Fans of the Philadelphia Eagles are having trouble understanding why Brady sought out Mahomes, but failed to shake hands with Nick Foles after the Patriots lost in the Super Bowl a year ago.
Brady and Foles eventually met on the field in a preseason game ahead of this season. But that doesn’t appear to have been enough for Eagles fans.
Many are suggesting that Brady is only respectful of his opponent when he wins. Check it out:
Tom Brady just quietly approached a security guard waiting outside the Chiefs’ locker room — and asked if he could see Patrick Mahomes. Brady was escorted into a room where he spoke briefly with him. A very clear display of respect from one incredible quarterback to another.

So Brady waits for mahomes after a win and he’s a classy guy, but what about when he didn’t shake Nick Foles hand after losing last year? Screw him

Yeah, easy to show good character when you win. Brady couldn’t even bother to take a second to stay on the field and shake Nick Foles’ hand after the Super Bowl. He’s a sore loser, but ever so eager to go talk to the other side after he wins.

I love how there’s a story going around that Brady went to speak with Mahomes after he won, although after he lost to Nick Foles, he just ran away and didn’t say good game or anything. This just shows that Brady is only a good sport when he wins and he also makes out with his son

But couldn’t even shake Nick Foles’ hand last year. Brady is an ass.

Brady is gracious in victory, but a brat in defeat. Couldn’t shake Nick Foles hand after Nick beat him.
It’s easy to be gracious when you win, it’s hard to be gracious when you lose. https://t.co/8DekXLDGnr

Regardless, the Patriots, yet again, are off to the Super Bowl. They’ll take on the Los Angeles Rams – the same franchise they beat back in 2001 to start their dynasty.
The Patriots, since 2001, have now been to nine Super Bowl contests. They’re 5-3 in those games – winning it all in 2001, 2003, 2004, 2014 and 2016. They’ll be looking to add their sixth title.
This year’s Super Bowl will take place on February 3.
