On Thursday night, the Cleveland Browns took on the New York Giants in a preseason game. Baker Mayfield didn’t get the start, but he did see plenty of action in the second and third quarters.2
The former Oklahoma star completed 11-of-20 passes for over 200 yards and two touchdowns. Most importantly, the moment didn’t look too big for Mayfield, who looked comfortable on the professional level.
Of course, it was the first preseason game so we should take it with a grain of salt.
Mayfield wasn’t the only Oklahoma alum on the field Thursday night. Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard was also on the playing surface.
After the game was over, Mayfield and Shepard shared a special moment.

Both signed a jersey for the other after the game was over. Shepard caught both of his targets in the game for a total of nine yards.
Cleveland walked out with the 20-10 win in Mayfield’s debut.
