Video Of Alshon Jeffery Going Into 2nd Grade Class In Philadelphia Going Viral

One would think that Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffrey would have quickly become a pariah after his dropped pass that led to an interception against the Saints in the NFC Divisional Round.

As a recent video of Jeffrey visiting a grade-school class in Philadelphia would indicate, that is not the case.

The video, released by ABC, shows Jeffrey visiting a class of second-graders in West Chester who wrote him letters after the heartbreaking play in New Orleans.

All of the kids acted delighted to see the Eagles star receiver, in spite of what happened.

The very first thing one of the kids said to Jeffrey was, “Can you sign my sweatshirt?”

Only #ActionNews is there as #Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery pays surprise visit to second grade class in West Chester that wrote him touching letters after Sundays playoff loss. Tonight at 6 on @6ABC! @TheWorldof_AJ @JamieApody Here's a preview: pic.twitter.com/KS3ZuCz6OF

The video has since gone viral with several hundred likes, comments, and shares.

On the play in question that has gotten Jeffrey into so much trouble, the Eagles were down 20-14 with two minutes to play. The Eagles were driving and Nick Foles threw a pass to a wide-open Jeffrey, who let the ball bounce out of his hands and into the hands of Saints defender Marshon Lattimore, sealing the win for the Saints.

It is possible though that Jeffrey’s contributions to the Eagles winning their first-ever Super Bowl last year may have earned him some forgiveness from the fanbase.

In Super Bowl LII, Jeffrey had three receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown.
