Legendary Golfer Hung Out With Donald Trump's Suite At Alabama-Georgia
Donald Trump's suite at Bryant-Denny Stadium during Saturday night's Alabama-Georgia game was unsurprisingly packed.
It also shouldn't have been a shock that Trump had a few well-known supporters with him. Musicians Kid Rock and Hank Williams Jr. were in the spot, along with Alabama senator and former college football coach Tommy Tuberville and Georgia football legend Herschel Walker.
Also seen in the suite was two-time major-winning golfer John Daly, whose trademark long white beard stood out in the crowd behind the Republican presidential nominee.
Daly has been an outspoken supporter of Trump's for several years, even making an appearance at a debate prior to the 2020 election to show his support.
Last year, Daly told right-wing media host Tucker Carlson that most professional golfers want "Daddy Trump" back in office.
"Because he was a great president," Daly explained. "He's a great guy once you get to know him. I've known him since the early 1990's. It's funny, I can't remember the tournament we played he flew his helicopter in for a pro-am. We went out back and talked for a bit and when he stood up he said, 'Mark my words I'll be President of the United States one day.'"
Trump received a warm reaction from the crowd in Tuscaloosa last night. As for the game itself, fourth-ranked Alabama jumped out to a 28-0 lead on No. 2 Georgia, only to have the Bulldogs rally to go ahead 34-33 with less than three minutes remaining.
However, Jalen Milroe connected with freshman wide receiver Ryan Williams on a game-winning 75-yard touchdown pass moments later to secure a 41-34 victory for the Tide.
