Tiger Woods' Daughter Goes Viral At PNC Championship On Sunday
It is a family affair for Tiger Woods at this weekend's PNC Championship.
Tiger and his son Charlie are competing together in the 36-hole Pro-Am for the fifth year in a row. They're in the lead on Sunday afternoon, with Charlie recording his first-ever hole-in-one earlier in the day. Their caddie today is Sam Woods, Tiger's daughter and Charlie's older sister.
Sam Woods, 17, began caddying in 2022, with her dad saying after her debut that she was "fantastic."
"This is the first time she's ever done this, so it couldn't have been any more special for all of us," Tiger said.
Having your daughter caddy for you and your son on the same day your son sinks his first hole-in-one has to be beyond awesome for Tiger.
Interestingly, despite her caddying experience, Woods genes and the fact she introduced her father at his World Golf Hall of Fame induction in 2022, Sam herself is not a golfer. She's a track and soccer star at the Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
"She has, I think, a negative connotation to the game," Woods said back in May. "Because at that time, when she was growing up, golf took daddy away from her."
Charlie is the young golfer in the family, and he's been pursuing his own career in the sport. Despite being only 15, he can already beat his father for nine holes, though a full 18 is another story.
"He beat me for nine holes," Woods said, via ESPN. "He has yet to beat me for 18 holes. That day is coming. I'm just prolonging it as long as I possibly can."
The Woods boys are trying to hold on to win the PNC Championship this afternoon. We'll keep you posted on their progress as the day unfolds.
