Army's Uniforms Against Navy Will Honor 82nd Airborne Division

Army will be wearing some special uniforms when it takes the field against rival Navy on Saturday.

The Army-Navy game is one of the biggest spectacles in college football, and the past few years, we've gotten to see some interesting uniform combinations from both teams. The 2016 version of the contest will feature a great ode to men who risked their lives for our country back during World War II.

Army will be wearing uniforms honoring the 82nd Airborne Division. They released a website dedicated to the threads too - here's more:

Army West Point Football and official apparel sponsor Nike unveil the 2016 Army-Navy Game uniform. This uniform was inspired by the World War II paratroopers of the 82nd Airborne Division. We honor the past by re-telling stories of valor, courage, and sacrifice. Inspired, humbled, and motivated by the soldiers that came before us, we don their patches, adopt their mottos, and hold their deeds close to our hearts.

Highly trained and highly disciplined, the soldiers of the 82nd Airborne were asked to spearhead the invasions of Italy, Normandy, and Holland. With little to no reinforcements or relief in the most adverse conditions, their physical and mental toughness was pushed to the limits. Their unwavering brotherhood and intense dedication to success, ultimately led to mission accomplishment.

Here's a video of the new look:

Here are a few stills of the new uniform. There's no doubt the players are going to be pumped on Saturday:
