Army vs. North Texas preview:
Army posted a winning season in 2016, finishing 7-5 after a huge victory over rival Navy. It was the first time the Black Knights had beaten the Midshipmen since 2001. Army will be favored over North Texas by 11 points.
North Texas, meanwhile, did not finish the season with enough wins to automatically qualify for a bowl, but given the fact that there weren’t enough six-win teams in the country, the Mean Green was selected for the postseason based on its APR score.
Oddly enough, the two schools met earlier in the year. North Texas emerged victories, 35-18.
Army vs. North Texas Prediction:
We’ll take Army to ride the high of the Navy win and prevail. Army’s ground game winds up being too much to overcome.
