Colorado-native Aidan Keanaaina is a four-star defensive tackle and a top target in the Class of 2020. But with a full year left to make his college decision, Keanaaina is letting everyone know ahead of time.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Keanaaina announced that he would be continuing his college football career with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Keanaaina is the first defensive tackle to announce his commitment to Brian Kelly’s team.
It is with great pleasure that I announce I will be attending The University of Notre Dame to continue my academic and athletic career starting June 2020. I am looking forward to this next chapter in my life. I am committed 100% to Notre Dame! To the fans of Notre Dame – Go Irish!
247Sports rates Keanaaina as the No. 313 prospect in the nation, the No. 28 defensive tackle prospect, and the No. 4 prospect from the state of Colorado. He joins a Notre Dame team that current has the No. 15-rated recruiting class in the country for the Class of 2020.

Keanaaina joins a Notre Dame team that is coming off its best campaign in the last six years, winning all 12 of their regular season games before falling to Clemson in the Cotton Bowl Classic.
He also happens to be joining a squad that will likely need significant replenishment in the next year or two, which should pave the way for him to see the field quickly.
The Fighting Irish also had one of the top-rated defenses in college football, allowing 18.2 points per game – 13th in the FBS.
