Four-star running back Chris Tyree clearly has plans of playing for a top program, and his final school list reflects that. With Alabama, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma all waiting eagerly for his decision, Tyree has made an important announcement.
On Wednesday, Tyree took to Twitter and announced that he will be making his commitment decision on May 23 at the Thomas Dale High School auditorium. His most recent official visit was to Oklahoma back in April.
Tyree is a four-star prospect and the No. 29 overall prospect in the nation, per 247Sports. He is considered the No. 1 all-purpose back in the country, and the No. 1 prospect from the state of Virginia.
247Sports’ Crystal Ball Predictions are currently giving the edge to Notre Dame at 64-percent. Oklahoma comes in at second with 18-percent.

Tyree is coming off back-to-back seasons with over 1,000 rushing yards and double-digit touchdowns.
He had career-highs for Thomas Dale last year, rushing for 1,446 yards and 11 touchdowns, while contributing another 23 receptions for 302 yards through the air.
Tyree does have some impressive speed on the record, though. Per 247Sports, he ran a verified 4.38 40-yard dash last month.
He’s the kind of prospect that would surely make Lincoln Riley, Nick Saban and Brian Kelly excited for.
