5-Star DE Oluwole Betiku Says You'll Never See A Notre Dame Player Act Like Marshawn Lynch

Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra five-star defensive end Oluwole Betiku is the No. 1 weak-side defensive end in the 2016 class, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings. He holds offers from big-time programs from all regions of the United States, including Notre Dame.

At Nike's The Opening in Oregon yesterday, Betiku was asked by Andrew Ivins of Blue and Gold Illustrated about his interest in the Fighting Irish and how the program has pursued him. His response was interesting, to say the least.

The first half of that quote is rather generic, particularly in regards to a school with a strong academic reputation such as Notre Dame. The second part is eye-catching, especially the subtle jab at Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch and the reference to speaking like a "white-collar guy."

One thing reporters can't stand is athletes who are boring quotes. Betiku certainly wasn't that yesterday.
