The Lincoln-Way East High School star is ranked No. 51 overall in the class.

He's the No. 8 wide receiver in the class, and No. 1 player in Illinois.

A number of Big Ten and Midwestern powers are heavily involved with Henning, though his recruitment also involves teams down South and out West.

Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, and Purdue are all on the list from the Big Ten, and are joined by LSU, Notre Dame, and Stanford.

A.J. Henning announced the Top 10 via Twitter.

Despite this list, he says his recruitment remains open.

Henning's full note:

"On Jan 22nd, 2018, I had minor surgery. Glory to God that it was a success and I am beyond thankful to be able to continue to play the game that I love. I would like to thank each and every school that has recruited me to this point. With that being said, after taking with my family these are my TOP 10 schools.

MY RECRUITMENT IS STILL OPEN!!"
