Notre Dame head football coach Brian Kelly has tried to appear more calm and relaxed on the sideline this season, but he couldn't help but let out some serious emotion early in the contest against Clemson.

We had our first controversial call of the College Football Playoff about halfway into the first quarter of this evening's contest.

Notre Dame recovered a Clemson fumble, but the referees ruled that the ball had hit the out-of-bounds line prior to the recovery.

Was that actually conclusive enough to overturn it? Kelly didn't seem to think so. Notre Dame's head coach let the referees hear it on the sideline.

He didn't go completely overboard, at least.

Notre Dame and Clemson are currently tied, 3-3.

The game is on ESPN.
