Brian Kelly Said He'd Take Notre Dame's QB's Over Any Other Team's, Including Ohio State's

One of the major story lines for Notre Dame football this off-season is the quarterback competition between Everett Golson and Malik Zaire. Both signal callers saw action in the team's Music City Bowl victory over LSU and have the traits necessary to be successful in Notre Dame's offensive scheme.

Head coach Brian Kelly has said he wouldn't be against using both quarterbacks this fall, and said last weekend he doesn't expect Golson to transfer for his final season. Today, Kelly expressed supreme confidence in Golson and Zaire, saying he would take his quarterbacks over those at any other school, including Ohio State's.

Braxton Miller was a projected Heisman candidate before he suffered an injury that forced him to miss the 2014 season. J.T. Barrett was an actual Heisman candidate before a late-season injury knocked him out of action. Third-stringer Cardale Jones promptly stepped in and led the Buckeyes to a national championship.

If Kelly can get anywhere close to that production out of either or both of his QB's this fall, the Fighting Irish should be formidable.
